Request an Honor


There is a Torah service during morning services on Shabbat and festivals.   During the Torah service, congregants participate by performing honors, as described below.  If you'd like to request an honor, please complete the form below.  After completing the form either click Submit (which will email the page to the Tabernacle office) or print the page and bring it with you to services.   The congregation requires that anyone performing an Aliyah, Hagbah or G'lilah must be Jewish and wear a tallit.

Open the Ark     (Done prior to and following the Torah service)

Aliyah                (You should be able to chant the blessings in Hebrew before and after the Torah is read).

Hagbah              (Lifting the Torah; experienced people only).

G'lilah                 (Dressing the Torah).
